Two Leaves and a Bud Organic Assam Black Tea Bags, 15-Count — Whole-Leaf Pyramid Sachets, Compostable

Two Leaves and a Bud Organic Assam Black Tea Bags deliver bold, malty whole-leaf Assam in convenient compostable sachets for a rich breakfast cup. Two Leaves and a Bud sources single-region Assam black tea and packages it in pyramid-shaped, plant-based sachets that let whole leaves unfurl for full flavor. These 15-count boxes bring a bright amber liquor and multi-layered maltiness that stands up to milk and sugar but remains balanced enough to enjoy plain. The product is organic and designed with compostable materials to reduce waste while preserving the character of traditional Assam teas.

What does "whole leaf sachet" mean for flavor?

Whole leaf sachets contain larger, intact pieces of tea rather than fine fannings or dust, so the leaves release flavor more gradually and with greater complexity. The pyramid shape gives leaves room to expand, producing a clearer, more aromatic cup.

• Pyramid sachet allows better infusion and aroma release
• Larger leaf particles preserve malty, layered tasting notes
• Less astringency compared with finely broken tea dust

How strong and versatile is this Assam for daily drinking?

This Assam is naturally bold and malty, making it a classic choice for morning routines. It pairs well with milk and sweeteners yet retains enough nuance to be enjoyed without additions.

• Robust body that stands up to milk for tea lattes
• Amber infusion with rich malt and subtle sweetness
• Consistent cup strength suitable for single or double-steep

Are the sachets eco-friendly and how should I compost them?

The company uses plant-based, commercially compostable sachets and wraps that break down faster than conventional plastic. For backyard composting, cutting sachets and envelopes into smaller pieces speeds decomposition.

• Plant-based sachets are commercially compostable
• Backyard compostable with extra time and size reduction
• Recommended: cut sachets and envelopes before composting

How should I brew these Assam tea sachets for best results?

Use freshly boiled water and a 3–5 minute steep to extract the tea's malty character without excessive bitterness. Adjust steep time and tea-to-water ratio to match personal strength preference.

• Water temp: about 212°F / full boil
• Steep time: 3–5 minutes depending on desired strength
• Add milk or sweetener to taste; try shorter steep for lighter cups
