SweetGourmet Italian Black Licorice Wheels are firm, boldly flavored licorice spirals sold in a 1-pound resealable pouch, made with natural colors and flavors and no GMOs.

These classic Italian black licorice wheels offer an authentic, concentrated licorice experience for fans who prefer a traditional, non-chewy bite. Each wheel is crafted to deliver a rich anise-forward flavor with a satisfying firmness, and the bulk one-pound pouch gives you roughly 46 wheels for sharing, baking, or snacking over time. The zip-top stand-up bag preserves freshness between uses and makes storage simple.

What makes SweetGourmet Italian Black Licorice Wheels different from other licorice brands?

These wheels focus on a traditional Italian licorice profile: intense black licorice flavor, a firm texture, and clean ingredient choices. They use natural colors and flavors and are labeled GMO free, avoiding artificial flavors and added fat. The wheel form concentrates flavor and allows creative uses beyond straight snacking.

• Natural colors and flavors for a more authentic taste.
• Firm, dense texture that holds shape while you eat.
• Approximately 46 wheels per pound—great value for bulk use.
• Resealable pouch for longer-lasting freshness.

How can I enjoy these licorice wheels at home or in recipes?

Licorice wheels are versatile: eat them whole, unwind into laces, or chop to sprinkle over desserts. Their bold flavor stands up when used as a garnish or folded into baked goods for a licorice accent. The firm texture also makes them suitable for decorating confectionery or using as edible ties on small pastry bundles.

• Unwind into long strands to top cupcakes, cookies, or ice cream.
• Chop small pieces into cookie dough or bread for a licorice twist.
• Use individual wheels as edible decorative ties on pastries.
• Serve in bowls at parties for easy sharing and tasting.

How long will the pouch keep the licorice fresh, and how should I store it?

The zip-lock stand-up pouch is designed to keep air out and maintain the wheels' texture and flavor for several weeks after opening when stored properly. Keep the pouch sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong odors. Refrigeration is not required but can extend shelf life in warm climates.

• Reseal tightly after each use to limit air exposure.
• Store in a cool, dry cupboard or pantry away from heat.
• Refrigerate in hot or humid conditions to preserve firmness.
• Avoid storing near strong-smelling foods to prevent flavor transfer.

Are these licorice wheels suitable for dietary preferences or special handling?

SweetGourmet highlights simple, clean ingredients with no added fat and no artificial flavors; the product is also labeled GMO free. While not marketed as allergen-free or vegan on the pack, the straightforward ingredient list makes it easy to check suitability for specific diets. Always read the package label for detailed allergen and ingredient information before consuming.

• Made with natural colors and flavors, without artificial flavors.
• No added fat listed on the product features—read label for specifics.
• GMO-free declaration for ingredient transparency.
• Check packaging for allergen statements relevant to your needs.
