Starwest Botanicals Essiac Tea Organic Loose Herbal Blend — 1 lb Bulk, Slippery Elm & Burdock

Starwest Botanicals Essiac Tea Organic with Slippery Elm Bark is a USDA-certified organic, kosher, bulk 1 lb loose herbal blend based on the traditional Essiac formula.

This bulk package brings together organic burdock root, organic sheep sorrel, organic rhubarb root (Turkey), and organic slippery elm bark into a ready-to-steep loose tea blend. Packaged by Starwest Botanicals and certified organic by QAI, this 1 lb bag is intended for those who prefer loose-leaf preparation, value verified sourcing, and want a larger supply for regular use or culinary experimentation. The product is cGMP compliant and Kosher certified, making it suitable for a range of pantry and herbal applications that call for high-quality, traceable ingredients.

What ingredients are in this Essiac Tea blend?

The formula contains four organic roots and herbs traditionally associated with Essiac-style blends: burdock root, sheep sorrel, rhubarb root (sourced from Turkey), and slippery elm bark. Starwest Botanicals lists the botanical origins and maintains organic certification for each component where applicable.

• Organic burdock root — earthy base and texture.
• Organic sheep sorrel — tart leafy element.
• Organic rhubarb root (Turkey) — aromatic root component.
• Organic slippery elm bark — soothing mucilaginous bark.

How should I prepare and store the loose Essiac Tea?

This loose-leaf blend is prepared like many traditional herbal decoctions or strong teas: simmer or steep according to your preferred strength, then strain before serving. To preserve aroma and potency, store the resealed bag or transfer contents to an airtight container in a cool, dark place away from moisture and direct light.

• Typical preparation: simmer 10–20 minutes or steep in hot water per recipe preference.
• Strain with a fine mesh or tea infuser to remove root and bark particles.
• Store in an airtight jar away from heat, light, and humidity.
• Use within recommended timeframes for best flavor and freshness.

What certifications and quality standards does Starwest Botanicals provide?

Starwest Botanicals ensures this Essiac blend is certified organic by QAI under the USDA National Organic Program and Kosher certified by Kosher Certification Services. The company follows current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and labeling lists U.S. origin for supply chain transparency.

• Organic certification (QAI) — meets USDA organic guidelines.
• Kosher certification — suitable for Kosher dietary needs.
• cGMP compliant — manufactured under recognized quality controls.
• Origin declaration — key components sourced in the United States and Turkey.

Why choose the 1 lb bulk bag instead of smaller packages?

The 1 lb bulk bag suits those who use Essiac-style blends frequently, prepare larger batches, or prefer cost savings from buying in larger quantities. It reduces the need for frequent reordering and is convenient for blending, culinary use, or crafting larger herbal preparations at home.

• Economical: lower cost per ounce versus small retail sizes.
• Convenient for regular brewers or households making larger batches.
• Useful for crafters who incorporate herbs into non-consumable projects.
• Resealable packaging or transfer to jars keeps bulk fresh.

Who is this for? This organic Starwest Botanicals Essiac Tea 1 lb bag is aimed at herbal enthusiasts, home brewers, and anyone who wants a verified-organic, Kosher-certified loose herbal blend for frequent use. It appeals to cooks, tea lovers, and herbalists who prefer the flexibility of loose herbs and need a reliable, larger supply for regular preparation or recipe development. If you seek a high-volume, traceable herbal blend with transparent certifications and U.S./Turkey ingredient origins, this bulk Essiac-style mix provides a practical option.
