MIHUNTANG Jiaogulan tea is a wild-grown Gynostemma Pentaphyllum loose-leaf green herbal tea from Pingli, hand-picked and steam-treated for a fresh, naturally sweet cup.
Harvested in the reputed gold production area of Pingli, this 150g (5.29 oz) pack of Jiaogulan (绞股蓝) preserves the plant’s delicate curled leaves and natural compounds by using traditional hand-picking and a steam kill-green process. The result is a green-hued infusion with a light floral aroma and a subtly sweet finish, ready to be brewed multiple times. Packaged to maintain freshness, the leaves are thin, curly, and display fresh tender colors when rehydrated.
MIHUNTANG sources the raw material from an ecological, pollution-free mountain environment in Pingli, where soil and growing conditions support higher natural saponin and selenium content. Leaves are harvested by hand at peak freshness and treated with steam to halt oxidation while keeping flavor and nutrients intact. The tea therefore shows a brighter green liquor, a light floral scent, and a naturally sweet taste without added sugars.
Use about 5 g of leaves per cup and pour freshly boiled water over the tea. Allow the leaves to steep for roughly three minutes before drinking; you can refill with hot water multiple times as the leaves continue to open and release flavor. Adjust steep time and leaf amount to taste for a lighter or stronger cup.
The brewed liquor appears green and clear, with a fresh, mild floral aroma. On the palate the tea is naturally sweet without added sugar, with a clean finish and light vegetal notes. Rehydrated leaves are tender and display a fresh green color, reflecting careful harvest and processing.
Keep the tea in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong odors to preserve aroma and flavor. The product has an 18-month shelf life; check the packaging for the production date and reseal after each use. Proper storage helps maintain the tea’s natural color and delicate scent.
Who is this for: MIHUNTANG Jiaogulan tea suits tea lovers who prefer lightweight, naturally sweet green herbal infusions and consumers seeking wild-harvested, hand-picked leaves from a recognized Chinese production area. It’s a good match for people who enjoy multiple short infusions, those exploring traditional Chinese herbal teas, and anyone wanting a clean, fresh-tasting loose-leaf option to add to their daily beverage rotation.
