Juan Valdez Cumbre Whole Bean Coffee — 16 oz Dark Roast, Bold Cocoa Aroma & Full Body

Experience a full-bodied cup that channels the highland character of Colombian coffee farms. Cumbre is roasted dark to emphasize deep cocoa notes and a dry grape-like finish while preserving aromatic oils in whole bean form, so you control grind size and brewing method for optimal results.

How will Cumbre whole beans change my morning cup?

Cumbre brings a richer, more aromatic profile than lighter blends because of its darker roast and carefully selected Colombian beans. Grinding just before brewing unlocks volatile aromas and fuller body, delivering a cup with stronger cocoa and subtle dry-fruit accents.

• Whole beans retain oils and aroma until ground for maximum freshness.
• Dark roast emphasizes chocolate and toasted notes for a bold taste.
• Works well with French press, espresso, pour-over, and drip machines.
• 16 oz bag provides multiple brew cycles for daily drinkers.

What brewing methods suit this dark roast best?

Cumbre is versatile but shines with methods that extract rich oils and body—think espresso and French press—or with slightly coarser grinds for pour-over when you want clarity. Adjust grind size and water temperature to balance intensity and sweetness.

• Espresso: fine grind for concentrated, chocolate-forward shots.
• French press: coarse grind for full body and lingering aroma.
• Pour-over: medium-coarse grind for nuanced flavor and acidity control.
• Drip: medium grind for consistent convenience and boldness.

What flavor profile can I expect from Juan Valdez Cumbre?

The cup presents pronounced cocoa and roasted notes up front with a dry grape-like finish that adds a subtle fruity dryness rather than bright acidity. The dark roast smooths out sharp acidity while highlighting sensory richness and aroma complexity.

• Primary notes: deep cocoa and toasted flavors.
• Secondary accents: dry grape-like finish and gentle sweetness.
• Mouthfeel: full-bodied with lingering aromatic aftertaste.
• Roast level: dark for intensified flavor and aroma concentration.

Who is this for? Cumbre is designed for coffee lovers who prefer bold, aromatic dark roasts and value the control of whole beans—home baristas, espresso enthusiasts, and anyone who enjoys a strong, chocolate-leaning cup. It also suits shoppers who prioritize ethically sourced Colombian coffee and sustainable farming practices backed by Juan Valdez’s commitment to coffee-growing communities.
