Hengstenberg Seasoned Spirit Vinegar 25 fl oz — Mildly Seasoned, Moderate Acidity for Dressings & Marinades

Made in Germany, this 25 fl oz bottle of Hengstenberg Altmeister blends fermented spirit vinegar with a subtle seasoning that complements salads, vegetables, and cold sauces without overpowering other flavors. Its moderate acidity and refined seasoning make it a versatile pantry staple for cooks who want dependable tang and aroma in everyday recipes.

What makes Altmeister Essig different from plain white or apple cider vinegar?

Altmeister is a seasoned spirit vinegar—meaning it starts from distilled alcohol and is blended with a curated mix of seasonings to give ready-to-use flavor. It offers a smoother, slightly more complex profile than plain white vinegar and a cleaner tang than many fruit-based vinegars.

• Seasoned for immediate use: no extra herbs required
• Moderate acidity for versatile cooking
• Consistent flavor suitable for European recipes

How can I use Hengstenberg Altmeister in everyday cooking?

Use Altmeister for salads, quick pickles, pan sauces, and marinades. Its balanced profile brightens vegetables, complements potato salads, and works well when deglazing pans or finishing warm dishes.

• Dressings: whisk with oil, mustard, and seasonings
• Marinades: tenderizes and flavors meats and tofu
• Pickling: quick-pickles cucumbers or onions
• Finishing: splash on steamed greens or roasted veg

How should I store and measure this vinegar for best results?

Keep the bottle capped and stored in a cool, dark pantry to preserve flavor. Measure by taste—start with a small amount and adjust—because seasoned vinegars vary in intensity compared to plain vinegars.

• Storage: cool, dark place; reseal after each use
• Use within typical pantry life for vinegars (indefinite safety; flavor best within a year)
• Recipe guide: start with 1 part vinegar to 3 parts oil for dressings

Hengstenberg Altmeister Essig is made for home cooks and food lovers who want a reliable, slightly seasoned vinegar without mixing their own spice blends. It suits people who prepare European-style salads, quick pickles, or simple marinades and prefer a product with consistent flavor straight from the shelf.
