How do I brew FGO Gunpowder Green Tea for best flavor?

To get a clear, balanced cup, use water below boiling and short steep times to avoid bitterness. Measure leaves by taste—start with one teaspoon per 8 oz and adjust up for stronger brews.

• Water temperature: 70–80°C (158–176°F).
• Steep 1–2 minutes for a light cup, 2–3 minutes for more body.
• Use 1 teaspoon (2–3 g) per 8 oz; increase for multiple infusions.
• Rinse leaves briefly for a brighter first infusion if desired.

What does "gunpowder" mean and what flavor should I expect?

"Gunpowder" refers to the traditional rolling process that yields small, pellet-like leaves. When infused, these rolled leaves unfurl and release a fresh, slightly smoky green tea character with mild astringency and vegetal notes.

• Aroma: light vegetal with subtle smoke.
• Body: medium, clean mouthfeel without heaviness.
• Aftertaste: gentle, lingering green notes.
• Suitable for multiple short infusions with consistent flavor.

How long will a 453 g bag last and how should I store it?

The 453 g resealable bag provides approximately 200 standard cups, depending on leaf amount per cup. Keep the pouch sealed away from light, heat, and strong odors to preserve freshness and aroma.

• Estimate: ~200 cups at 2 g per cup.
• Storage: reseal pouch after each use; store in a cool, dark cupboard.
• Avoid: moisture and direct sunlight to prevent flavor degradation.
• For longer storage, transfer to an airtight tin with a tight lid.

Can I use FGO Gunpowder Green Tea for iced tea or recipes?

Yes—gunpowder green tea works well chilled and in culinary uses, offering a brisk base for iced tea, concentrated brews, or infused syrups. Adjust strength based on the application and strain leaves when using in solids.

• Iced tea: brew double strength, chill, and serve over ice.
• Culinary: infuse milk, make matcha-style pastes, or use in marinades.
• Cold brew: steep leaves in cold water for 6–10 hours for a smooth finish.
• Strain well to avoid leaf residue in drinks and recipes.

Who is this for: FGO Organic Gunpowder Green Tea in the 453 g resealable bag is ideal for daily green tea drinkers, specialty beverage makers, cafés, or home cooks who prefer loose leaf control, organic certification, and a bulk format that reduces packaging waste.
