CRUZ DE MALTA Yerba Mate Suave y Duradera 1 kg Pack of 3 – Smooth, Low-Dust Loose-Leaf

Cruz de Malta Yerba Mate Suave y Duradera is an Argentine loose-leaf yerba mate blend that delivers a smooth, low-dust cup built for everyday drinking.

Balanced and traditionally processed, this 1 kg (2.2 lb) pack of Cruz de Malta Suave y Duradera comes in a set of three to keep your supply steady. The product focuses on larger leaf particles and reduced fines, producing a milder, cleaner flavor that many mate drinkers prefer. It’s gluten-free and made to reflect authentic Argentine mate character without excessive bitterness, making it versatile for gourmets, travelers, and gift-givers alike.

What makes this Cruz de Malta mate smoother than other blends?

The Suave y Duradera formula emphasizes larger leaf pieces and a lower proportion of dust, which reduces overly bitter extraction and sediment in the cup. Its processing preserves aromatic compounds while tempering harsh tannins so the brew stays balanced across multiple infusions.

• Loose-leaf cut with larger particles for gentler extraction
• Low-dust composition for a cleaner, less gritty cup
• Traditional curing that preserves mellow aromas
• Consistent flavor across several steepings

How should I prepare Cruz de Malta Suave y Duradera for best results?

Preparation can be adapted to preference, but a classic method highlights the mate’s smooth profile: place yerba in a gourd at an angle, add cool water first to settle the leaves, then pour hot (not boiling) water. Sip with a bombilla or use a French press or teapot for larger servings.

• Use water around 70–80°C (160–175°F) to avoid scorching
• Fill gourd or container two-thirds with yerba for traditional strength
• Pre-wet leaves with cool water to reduce bitterness
• Top up with hot water and enjoy multiple infusions

Is this yerba mate suitable for travel, gifting, or daily use?

Yes — the pack of three 1 kg units is convenient for stocking up at home, sharing with friends, or packing for trips. Lightweight and shelf-stable, Cruz de Malta’s packaging and loose-leaf format make it easy to bring to picnics, beaches, or vacations, and it’s an appreciated gift for anyone curious about Argentine mate culture.

What flavor profile and pairings work best with this mate?

• Mild herbaceous base with toasted undertones
• Compatible with citrus, mint, honey, or light sweeteners
• Works hot or iced, plain or blended
• Suitable for repeated infusions without harshness
