ANGOSTURA Aromatic Bitters 16 oz Bottle — Concentrated Cocktail & Culinary Seasoning, Spice-Forward Flavor

ANGOSTURA Aromatic Bitters is a concentrated, spice-forward liquid seasoning that adds depth and balance to cocktails and cooking with just a few dashes.

Made since 1824, ANGOSTURA Aromatic Bitters is an iconic bar and kitchen staple used to introduce complex bitter, herbal, and spice notes without adding bulk or sweetness. Housed in a distinctive bottle, this 16 oz size delivers long-lasting supply for bartenders, home mixologists, and cooks who want to elevate drinks and dishes. Its versatile flavor profile complements classic cocktails like the Old Fashioned and Manhattan, brightens citrus-forward drinks, and lends balancing notes to sauces, marinades, and desserts.

How does ANGOSTURA Aromatic Bitters improve cocktails?

Aromatic bitters function like seasoning for drinks: a few drops sharpen flavors, smooth transitions between sweet and sour components, and introduce an underlying spice backbone. They help bring low-ABV and classic spirit-forward drinks into fuller balance without changing texture.

• Adds concentrated herbal and spice notes that round out whiskey, rum, and gin bases.
• Enhances aroma for a more inviting first sip and better layered complexity.
• Requires only dashes—no dilution or sweetening needed—so recipes stay precise.

What culinary uses work best with this bottle of bitters?

Beyond cocktails, ANGOSTURA Aromatic Bitters brightens both sweet and savory recipes by accenting flavor transitions and adding subtle bitter complexity. Chefs use it to enrich sauces, chutneys, marinades, and baked goods where a hint of bitter harmonizes other ingredients.

• Stir into barbecue sauce or gravy to add depth without extra salt.
• Dash into chocolate, caramel, or fruit-based desserts for layered flavor.
• Mince into dressings and vinaigrettes to stabilize sweetness and acidity.

How much should I use and how do I store the 16 oz bottle?

Aromatic bitters are highly concentrated, so modest amounts go a long way—start with one to three dashes and adjust to taste. The 16 oz bottle is suited for frequent use in busy bars or enthusiastic home kitchens and will remain stable when stored away from direct sunlight.

• Begin with 1–3 dashes per cocktail or tablespoon-level additions for recipes.
• Tightly reseal the cap and store in a cool, dark pantry to preserve aroma.
• The larger 16 oz format reduces refill frequency for professionals and enthusiasts.

Which cocktails and recipes should I try first?

Classic whisky cocktails showcase ANGOSTURA’s signature character, but experimentation rewards cooks and mixologists alike. Try simple swaps and small batch tests to learn how dashes modify each recipe.

• Old Fashioned and Manhattan for traditional, balanced versions.
• Rum punches and tiki drinks to introduce spice and aromatics.
• Pear compote, chocolate ganache, or pan sauces for subtle, layered flavor.
