Compare Grocery Packs and Unit Prices

A lower price per listing does not always mean a lower price for the same quantity. Start with the exact flavour, format, container size and pack count, then compare the amount you will actually use.

Three checks before comparing prices

1. Match the product. Original and Vertuo capsules are different systems. Ground and whole-bean coffee, ready-to-drink cartons and concentrates are also different formats.
2. Count the complete pack. Check whether the price covers one container, several boxes or a case. For example, five boxes of 72 tea bags contain 360 bags; a price per box is different from a price per tea bag.
3. Compare the delivered total. Include shipping and any applicable taxes or discount conditions. The current cart and checkout confirm the final amount.

Choose a useful comparison unit

For capsules or sealed snack portions, compare price per capsule or portion. For equivalent sauces, powders or coffee, compare the same weight or volume. Only calculate a serving price when the serving size is stated for that exact product.

Calculation: complete pack price ÷ number of units = price per unit. For price per 100 g, divide the complete price by the total grams, then multiply by 100. These calculations do not establish that two products have the same ingredients or quality.

Check ingredients and shelf life
